A Wise Man Once Said. . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snAjZ8mfoYw

* Embrace this day with an enthusiastic welcome, no matter how it looks. The covenant with God to which you are true enables you to become enlightened by him, and nothing is impossible for you.
* When you are physically sick, tired, or in despair, steer your thoughts away from yourself and direct them, in gratitude and love, toward God.
* In your life there have to be challenges. They will either bring you closer to God and therefore make you stronger, or they can destroy you. But you make the decision of which road you take.
* First and foremost, you are a spirit child of God. If you neglect to feed your spirit, you will reap unhappiness. Don't permit anything to detract you from this awareness.
* You cannot communicate with God unless you have first sacrificed your self-oriented natural man and have brought yourself into the lower levels of meekness, to become acceptable for the Light of Christ.
* Put all frustrations, hurt feelings, and grumblings into the perspective of your eternal hope. Light will flow into your soul.
* Pause to ponder the suffering Christ felt in the Garden of Gethsemane. In the awareness of the depth of gratitude for him, you appreciate every opportunity to show your love for him by diligently serving in his Church.
* God knows that you are not perfect. As you suffer about your imperfections, he will give you comfort and suggestions of where to improve.
* God knows better than you what you need. He always attempts to speak to you. Listen, and follow the uncomfortable suggestions that he makes to us--everything will fall into its place.
* Avoid any fear like your worst enemy, but magnify your fear about the consequences of sin.
* When you cannot love someone, look into that person's eyes long enough to find the hidden rudiments of the child of God in him.
* Never judge anyone. When you accept this, you will be freed. In the case of your own children or subordinates, where you have the responsibility to judge, help them to become their own judges.
* If someone hurts you so much that your feelings seem to choke you, forgive and you will be free again.
* Avoid at all cost any pessimistic, negative, or criticizing thoughts. If you cannot cut them out, they will do you harm. On the road toward salvation, let questions arise but never doubts. If something is wrong, God will give you clarity but never doubts.
* Avoid rush and haste and uncontrolled words. Divine light develops in places of peace and quiet. Be aware of that as you enter places of worship.
* Be not so much concerned about what you do, but do what you do with all your heart, might, and strength. In thoroughness is satisfaction.
* You want to be good and to do good. That is commendable. But the greatest achievement that can be reached in our lives is to be under the complete influence of the Holy Ghost. Then he will teach us what is really good and necessary to do.
* The pain of sacrifice lasts only one moment. It is the fear of the pain of sacrifice that makes you hesitate to do it.
* Be grateful for every opportunity to serve. It helps you more than those you serve.
* And finally, when you are compelled to give up something or when things that are dear to you are withdrawn from you, know that this is your lesson to be learned right now. But know also that, as you are learning this lesson, God wants to give you something better.
(In a BYU Devotional, given on May 14 1996, Elder F. Enzio Busche of the Quorum of the Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave advice to those listening on how to become a disciple of Christ. Mr. Wonderful

(10.) His smile and his laugh.

-I seriously can not hold back my smile every time I see Jeff smiling at me or hear him laughing!
I love the way that when he smiles he gets wrinkles around his mouth and the way that he laughs because it’s normally to himself when he finds something funny.
(9.) The way he shows me off.
-This cute boy is always so proud to show me off, even when I was deathly sick and haven't showered in three days and couldn't look any worse. He still holds me tight and tells me how much he loves me no matter who can see or hear.
(8.) The way he is so romantic.
-My favorite romantic thing Jeff has ever done for me (well actually there are so many... But one of them)
One night we had just driven back from Salt Lake to Ephraim, and we were driving to our apartments and I wasn't ready to say bye for the night (and I’m pretty sure he wasn't either. But we were still at the beginning of dating so we didn't spend much time together and it would of been weird if I told him that I never wanted to leave his side, ha ha) So he was like I want to show you something, and we go off for a drive up the mountain (not even on real roads) and we get up pretty far up the mountain and he turns the car around and hopes out and pulls me out in front of his car and tells me to wait there. It was pretty much pitch black outside and his head lights were pointed right in my face so I can't see anything, and he left me standing there and he ran back and got into his car. Now in my head I’m kinda starting to freak out because I didn't even know him that well and we are way up the mountain and he could pretty much do anything and no one would ever hear me screaming or find my dead body ha ha. So I’m standing there and I start looking around and I turn around and behind me all you can see are the lights from the city and it is soo beautiful and as I’m looking at it I hear music start playing from the car, and Jeff is running up to me and pulls me close to him and we started slow dancing out in the middle of the night under the stars in the head lights with a breathtaking view. :) ha ha I was pretty much positive that I was in love with him right then and there.
(7.) The way his hands fit in mine.
-So i know this may sound stupid, but for as long as I can remember I told my self that I wouldn't marry or fall in love with a man who's hands didn't fit perfectly into mine. ha ha lucky for me they do. :) I also love how tall Jeff is compared to me because I can hold on to his waist and rest my head right on his chest :)
I remember a few weeks after I met Jeff I asked him what height he liked girls to be and he told me between 5' 6" and 5' 8"... I’m 5' 7" ha ha go figure. ;) I liked to give him a hard time about that.
(6.) The way he spend hours watching my TV. shows with me.
-So I’m not sure that he will be very happy with me telling you all this... But I am in love with the shows Hannah Montana, Say yes to the dress, and Grey's anatomy and I am pretty much a dedicated watcher. Well my wonderful boy will spend hours watching all of these shows with me and he can tell you pretty much everyone's names and who's dating who in grey' anatomy ha ha :) he says it's bad that he knows all of it, but I find it cute! and I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful man to put up with all my stuff :)
(5.) The way he dances with me.
-This boy loves to dance!! And it is always very cute. Well normally. Over the summer he would tell me all the time about swing dancing on Wednesday night and he was so excited to take me dancing, well it was our second time going and Jeff was swinging me around, but I was just going where I was pulled because no one has ever taught me the step... well one wrong step on my half and I got Jeff’s elbow straight into my face! I instantly could taste the blood filling up my mouth fast and the shooting pain made me want to fall on the floor crying, So instead I covered my mouth and ran for the bathroom with Jeff right behind me, I went in and to my surprise when he hit my face my teeth went all the way through my lip and I was missing a huge chunk! after cleaning my mouth up as best I could I headed outside to show Jeff, and the first thing I heard was "oh my gosh you have a fat lip!!!" of course he didn't mean it in a rude way but i took it pretty hard and turned right back around to go and see just how big my lip actually was...
I told Jeff that I was in to much pain and that I wanted to go home and take some drugs and sleep... (Because it had already given me a huge head ace) he told me a thousand times he was sorry and how bad he felt and took me to the gas station and bought me a big cup of ice and took me back home. lol
(4.) The person he is.
- For those of you who don't know Jeff was not raised in the church, but despite that he was constantly making good decisions. I am so thankful for the way he was raised to help him become the man he is today!!!
I also just love how much of a gentleman he is! He has always walked me to my side of the car and opened the door for me, or walked me to my apartment door to say goodnight, and so much more!!
(3.) The way he cares for me.
-He has always put me and everyone else before himself, giving up the things he wants just because he knows it will make someone else happy. He is constantly going out of his way to make sure that I get everything i want, and although he says I’m spoiled he still does it with a smile on his face :)
(2.) The way he makes me laugh.
-Not a day goes by that Jeff doesn't make a total fool out of himself, with me telling him that he is such a dork, but every time his reply is "but i got you to smile and laugh, and that's all that matters" even with out him doing things on purpose to make me laugh, this boy just makes me happy. I always find myself watching him with a huge smile on my face. :D
(1.) The way we are so much alike.
-Even though i know that we are so much alike because we spend so much time together... We seriously think the same about everything!! And I LOVE IT!!! At least once a week we will say the exact same thing at the exact same time :)

I love you Jeff and I can't wait until I can marry you and spend the rest of my life with you!!!

HAPPY 2010!!!

So I am super excited for the things that my life has in store for me this year!! As many of you know I'm getting married March 12th of this year; and I am so excited that I can hardly stand it any longer!! But I still have 64 days so here are some of the thing i'll be doing until that great day! (and a few things i've already done this year).

-I moved to New Mexico!!! ah I know, I know. My mom suggested a long time ago that I come and live with them, But it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I actually decided to do it! and i'm not going to lie it has been pretty hard. I miss Jeff so much!! But trying to look on the positive side: I get to spend time with my family before I run off with my new life and start my own family. and I am using this time to better myself.

-Last Sunday my mom and I joined Weight Watchers!! ha ha I am hoping to loose 20 pounds before the wedding!! ( at least that's my new years goal!) So far it's been pretty good. I've stayed under my points for the day and I've been working out everyday. Now I just have to keep it up lol, Wish me luck!!

-About two weeks ago Jeff and I got our first apartment together! It is pretty nice for a first apartment and it has lots of extra space, which is very nice!! Jeff will be living there alone for the next two months, Poor boy.

-We also finished registering for our wedding! It was a lot of fun but whoo, i'm glad that is done!
So for now i'm just chillin with the family and planning my wedding! Plus looking for a job... I have to interviews this week, so that's good right?
